Wedding Wednesday

I know pretty much everyone and their mama does Wedding Wednesday on their blog, but I just love all things weddings and couldn't pass it up. And hopefully I will be planning one of my own soon! :) And when I do, I HOPE I will be honored enough (please daddy!?) to have Courtney Dellafiora as my photographer. These photos are from a photoshoot she styled and shot.
A Vintage Love Story:

Seriously!? Stunning! Courtney is amazing. I love all the little details she put into the shoot. There is a ton more pictures from this shoot on her site.

Weekend wrap up

My weekend was relaxed yet eventful. On Friday night, me and the babes stayed in and watched some tv. I had made spaghetti and meatballs the night before so we made meatball subs for dinner with the leftovers. Very yummy and quick! Saturday morning I got up and took a shower. One of my dear friends Amanda swung by to drop off my belated bday gift. Never too late for one of those! Then my other friend Tiffini (they are both expecting! Which adds warmth to my baby fever!) picked me up and we headed to the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge where we met my friend Amy. My mission for the shopping trip was work tops. I left with 4! Annnnd an adorable Hello Kitty tee from Amy as my bday gift :)
So when I get home and show Mike the tops I got, I started to feel a bit silly. Why you might ask? Well that would be because 3 of the 4 are different shades of purple! UHG I always do this! I will get on a color kick and buy a bunch of tops in the same color family within a couple of months, this time it was within a couple of hours! So im thinking of exchanging 2 of them for different colors. BUT I probably wont go through that hassle, both of those stores are an hour away. sad face.

Saturday night me and the babes went to a local mexican restaurant, El Agave, so some delish & cheap food! Seriously, its so cheap! 1 app, 4 margaritas and 2 entrees for 29$!?! Its a steal! We headed to Walmart after to pick up ingredients to make Sangria and lounged on the couch the rest of the night.

Sunday I slept in and was awoken by the aroma of pancakes :) One of the best ways to wake up! We watched the Saints game and I put out my Halloween decorations. Pictures to follow of that.

Oh and, HELLO FALL! SO happy to see you :)

Hope everyone has a great week!

Couck 2 5k

So tonight at the gym I will be starting the above program. Also known as C25K. I downloaded the app on my iphone about a month ago and completed the first 2 days of the program. I then took a few days off from the gym and then forgot all about it! Oops :) Ive never been a runner by any means. This program is great for me because it is designed to slowly take you from a couch potato (which i wouldn't call myself, I work out 3-4 times a week) to a 5k runner. Now I dont necessarily want to run a 5k. I just want to be able to run period. You know, in case some crazy killer is chasing me through the woods like a scene from a horror movie. And i would just like to finally get this weight off.
Here is a little about the program from their website:

What is the Couch to 5K running plan?

Couch to 5K is a beginner's running plan.

It is designed for people who are just taking up running

* You alternate between walking and running until you build strength
* It is a 9 week long plan
* You workout 3 times a week, ideally with breaks between days
* Each workout session is from 30-40 minutes long (including 5 minutes warm up and 5 minutes cool down)

For more info check out their website- www.c25kapp.com

Hopefully by doing this program along with some weights a few times a week, I will finally reach my goal. I will keep you all updated :)

First post!

Ok, I know i have actually posted a couple times before this but technically this is the first real one! I signed up for this blog a few months ago and still haven't gotten around to starting it :( I have become a tad bit, i guess you can call it, obsessed with reading peoples blogs as of lately. So I figure I will start by listing some of my favorite ones in my first post.

In no particular order:

Little Chief Honeybee:

The thing I like most about Kaelah's blog is her daily outfit posts. That girl has some style! From the color of her hair, to her adorable dresses and her very detailed tattoos, I'm just in love!

Mila's Daydreams:
No explanation needed as to why I adore this blog. Just check it out and you will understand :)

Rockstar Diaries:
This is my favorite married couple blog. They are just so cute! Always doing cute things like picnics and walks in the park. Things I wish I had more time to do with my boyfriend. Also, Naomi has great vintage style. And those bangs! I love.

Tart:

This is a soon to me momma who is just adorable. Love to read about her day to day pregnant adventures. Can't wait to see her little baby bird when she arrives :)

The Beauty Mark:

These are 2 best friends, Hillary (hairstylist) & Courtney (makeup artist) who have an eye for fashion and are great at giving style advice.

So there ya have it folks. My first post :)
I hope to come up with some good daily features soon. I will also be opening an etsy shop with odds and ends so be on the lookout for both of those! Thanks for reading my blog :)

p.s. Sunday is my 24th bday! EEK!
