my bday was 2 days ago (the 19th) and i turned 25! im still in shock that i turned 25. it honestly feels like just yesterday i was in middle school! mike's bday was the friday before mine (the 16th) so we had a fun filled weekend to celebrate. friday night i dropped my niece madison off at her school dance then hung around w/ my mamaw for a bit until it was time to pick her up again. she is just the cutest! afterward, i headed home and gave mike his lil surprise pressie (his big one was getting his truck lowered) then we went out for drinks and late night snacks w/ a few friends.
saturday we headed out to the abita brewery to go on one of their tours w/ our friends amanda & casey. this was our first time going so we werent sure what to expect. we were handed a cup and lead into a selfserve bar where all of their beers are on tap. they give you about 15 minutes to drink as much as you like and then they start a video. i cant even tell you what this video was about because i was too busy drinking free beer >_< they then bring you inside the factory (i guess thats what you would call it) and give you a little info about how the beer is brewed. that part lasted about 15 minutes then it was back to the bar for more beer! the whole thing lasts an hr and its free! i think we will definitely be going on more tours ^_^
after the tour we headed over to chili's for some beer and chips & salsa. then we went to old navy to do some shopping (the boys were down since they were a lil buzzed, haha) then it was sushi time! great, now im craving sushi....
we ended up at a pub downtown around 7ish and stayed till about 1. our other friends heather and matt met us there after they left a wedding. it was seriously one of the better nights out we've had lately. and it was so simple! i guess it was all the beer i had :)
sunday we didnt leave the house until 6pm to go grab dinner. we then went over to a friends house to hang for a lil bit. my friend tiffini surprised me w/ a yummy cookie cake! monday (my bday) we were both off. mike got up and made some ham egg & cheese croissants and iced coffee. perfect way to start my bday :) we headed to the movies to see strawdogs (it was alright, kinda slow and boring in the beginning) then did some grocery shopping. later his brother, sis-in-law and kiddos came over for dinner. told ya it was a fun filled weekend! i have to say, it was one of my best bdays. heres to many more!
